Insurance Policy

As a private practice not paneled with insurance providers, Natalie has the freedom to focus solely on her clients and their unique concerns. Requirements set forth by insurance providers do not align with Natalie's core values as they are highly pathologizing and can be controlling and/or invasive towards clients. Her focus is solely on providing high-quality psychotherapy services to her clients without the interference of insurance providers mandating a diagnosis, viewing client's records, and even rejecting client's claims and/or limiting the amount of sessions clients can receive. Natalie believes that each client is more than a diagnosis, is worth receiving as much or as little therapy they desire, and strives to provide personalized care that supports each person's unique needs.

If you have out of network (OON) benefits, you might be eligible to receive a superbill once monthly to file for reimbursement with your insurance provider. It is up to each individual to inquire with their insurance provider prior to the start of therapy about OON benefits and their reimbursement rate. Please note that in order to file for reimbursement, your insurance provider will likely require a formal mental health diagnosis to justify therapy services and reimburse you for services. Natalie will administer assessments in your first session and conduct a clinical interview to see if a mental health diagnosis is appropriate and if you would benefit from that diagnosis. If you do not meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis, Natalie will be unable to provide you with a superbill to file for reimbursement.

Natalie is committed to making therapy accessible and affordable to anyone wanting therapeutic services. She recognizes that the cost for private pay therapy can be prohibitive. As a result, she works hard to maintain a few slots each week for clients that demonstrate the need for financial assistance. If the fee for therapy prohibits you from seeking therapeutic services, please contact Natalie and ask about reduced fee availability.

If there are no reduced fee slots available, please look into searching for a therapist through Open Path Collective where services are as low as $30 per session.
